The Student Bike and Traffic Safety Presentation scheduled for September 11 will be moved to Wednesday, September 18.

We are delighted to share that our 8th grade students recently played a vital role in our school’s ongoing commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment. As part of our efforts to enhance our school culture, the students presented the first of the WMS Commitments for this academic year: “Knowing Names of Staff and Appropriate Greetings." During a series of small house meetings held on September 5, our 8th graders shared their insights and ideas about the importance of recognizing and connecting with our school staff. The presentation emphasized how acknowledging staff members by name and engaging with them respectfully contributes to a welcoming and supportive school atmosphere.

There will be no Yearbook Club today, September 3.

We are excited to announce that our first House Day was Awesome!! House Days are designed to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration among students as they engage in a variety of activities. Today, students in 7th and 8th grade participated in competitions, which were both fun and educational, encouraged teamwork and school spirit. Additionally, we held 5th and 6th grade small house meetings where students had the opportunity to delve deeper into each house's unique characteristics and how they relate to one another. These discussions aimed at enhancing, understanding, and promoting a supportive environment within our school. This day was a valuable experience for all students, helping them to build connections and develop a greater appreciation for the diverse strengths of each house. 4 HOUSES, ONE TRIBE!!

We are thrilled to share that the 5th grade house spins and new student spins were a tremendous success! The excitement and enthusiasm from the students as they ran through the tunnel and spun the wheel for the first time were truly infectious. Congratulations to our new house leaders! We are excited to watch all of our students grow as leaders and develop their teamwork skills throughout the year. Our goal is to cultivate these skills to benefit both our school and our community. Thank you for your support, and here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Baseball and Softball Tryouts-REMINDER Tryouts will be held on July 29 & 30 from 5-7pm at the High School. A sports physical, insurance waiver, and concussion form must be on file in the office in order to tryout. Links to these forms can be found on the WMS Athletics page

We are currently conducting online registration for the 2024-2025 school year. Please see important information below. Complete the online registration forms by logging in to Teacherease. No fees are due at this time. Fees can be paid after August 1, 2024 online via Teacherease or you may send a check the first week of school. The 2024-2025 school calendar is available online at jcindians.org. Latchkey services will be at Jefferson School. 3rd- 5th grade students will be transported. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 13th and will be an 11:30 dismissal. Students will attend their first full day of school on Wednesday, August 14th
