“I love my kids and their families. I’m driving kids whose parents I drove when they were kids.”
Love the Bus month continues, and today we recognize Patricia Mueller.
Some of her fondest memories are driving former football coach Mike Rude and his players to games.
We appreciate Patricia and all of our bus drivers for getting our students to and from school safely. For that we say, THANK YOU!

We had a tremendous turnout of 8th grade students at Freshman registration, held on February 3 in the WMS cafeteria. Students heard a presentation by Ms. Chiaventone, the JCHS Guidance Counselor, and were able to choose their classes for Freshman year. Several High School students were also in attendance to provide information about classes and answer questions. If your student was unable to attend on February 3, Ms. Chiaventone will be at WMS in the morning of February 18 to speak to those students who missed.

Tonight, we have our first HOME Volleyball game of the season with C-team starting at 4:30.
Don't forget we have theme nights for home games and tonight it's PINK OUT!

It’s that time of year again! The 8th Grade Class is selling carnations for Valentine’s Day. Flowers will be $3 each or 2 for $5, and we have 600 to sell, so please buy lots and share the love! Students can see Mrs. Dobraski or the office if they need an order form. Forms need to be returned with money by Feb 12th to guarantee delivery on Valentine’s Day.

We're saddened to learn that one of our students lost their home and belongings in a fire last night.
The community is starting to rally around the family and show their support.
If you would like to help, a GoFundMe is now set up by the family: https://gofund.me/ff32919e

A great turnout last night during Washington Middle School first Community School event.
The students loved the FREE table giveaways especially the animal plushies, and parents/community members loved the FREE raffle for a Walmart gift card.

We're so thankful for everyone who stopped by to learn more about the Full-Service Community Schools initiative. We'll be holding more events like this in the future, and can't wait to see you there.
