Tribe Time is Back at WMS! This is a system we implemented a few years ago to motivate students with turning work in on time, completing their work and keeping their grades up. Each week students are given the opportunity to participate in fun activities on Fridays. WMS offers dodgeball, art, gaming, movies and the students can go play outside to name a few. In the past, this was a great motivator for our students, they seem to really enjoy our Tribe Time. For students who do not meet the requirements for Tribe Time, they are put in classes to assist them with where they are struggling academically. Our hope is that this reinforcement will pay dividends to the students as they navigate the school year. This may be getting caught up on homework or a lesson they did not understand being retaught to them. We run a schedule on Fridays where the students are able to be in all of their classes. Tribe Time starts at 1:50 and runs until school releases at 2:41. This gives the students 50 minutes of Tribe Time or the time they need for their classes. Our ultimate goal is for all students to enjoy Tribe Time.
