My name is Ms. Ligons and I am from Kennett, Missouri. I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau in the spring of 2023. I have a Bachelors in Music Education with an instrumental emphasis. This is my first year teaching and I am excited to be a part of the Johnston City faculty!
Mr. Mike Smith

Mr. Smith retired in 2019. He joined the teaching staff at Johnston City Schools in 2022 to assist with the band program.
In his past career as a band director Mr. Smith's bands received numerous superior ratings at district and state music contests, were professionally recorded, were guest conducted by several nationally known composers and college directors, and were placed as high as ninth nationally as a participant in the North American Music Festivals competition which was part of the opening of the Olympic Village in Atlanta, Georgia.
