Meet Heather Miller!
I am excited to begin my new role as one of the new Community School Coordinators for Johnston City schools, a position funded by the Full-Service Community School Grant for the next five years. This unique grant aims to transform schools into community hubs that support not only students but also their families and local businesses. By creating a network of wraparound services, the Full-Service Community School initiative addresses academic, health, and social needs, helping to build a stronger, more connected community. With a diverse background in social work, counseling, and human services, I have spent my career helping individuals and families access resources, and I am passionate about bringing that expertise to Johnston City. I hold master’s degrees in both Emergency Management and Human Services, and I am dedicated to fostering connections that will help our community thrive. My husband and I have been part of Johnston City for the past ten years, raising our two boys here, and we are grateful for how this wonderful small town has embraced us as one of its own. I am honored to now work alongside community partners, families, and schools, creating pathways for our students to grow and flourish.
