Meet Ronda Koch!
With a background in education, communications, social services, and public health, Ronda Koch brings over 30 years of experience with her as one of our new Community School Coordinators. Koch spent 13 years as a public health director, in addition to work with child protective agencies and as owner/manager of a successful drug and alcohol training and consulting company specializing in adjudicated youth. In 2000, Koch was the recipient of the State of Ohio’s first ever Family-Centered, Neighborhood-Based Community Outreach Award. Also in 2017, she received the Director’s Award from the Illinois Dept. of Public Health for “. . . significant and positive contributions to Illinois’ public health system.” She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications, specializing in public relations, and master’s degree in Workforce Education, both from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She is excited to work to support Johnston City schools as a team member with administrators, teachers, staff and students in outreach to and collaboration with families and the Johnston City community.
